Autech software has always believed that it is important to give back to the community that supports you. As such, we spend a significant amount of our time committing to a number of charity and community projects in the state; for some time now, one of these charities has been the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

For the last three years, members of Autech staff have held key roles in the Northern Tasmanian Committee of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Autech CEO Darren Alexander is the Committee Chair, and Vanessa Hortle is the Secretary/Treasurer, with all Autech staff contributing to the organisation and promotion of the annual Pink Party events.

This year’s Pink Party was a masked ball featuring performances from local dance company Stompin. Members of the community joined together to dig deep and make the night a success. Everyone got into the spirit of the occasion and dressed up in their best cocktail dress with prizes given for the best masks. A number of items went up for auction including: fine wines, football memorabilia and other collectables. The breast cancer committee was thrilled to be able to raise over $14,000 for breast cancer in the space of just a few weeks.

Autech has been instrumental in raising funds and awareness for the NBCF. In the past three years we have raised well over $100,000 which has gone towards research into prevention and cure as well as promoting further community awareness.
